Unit 5 — From design to simulated data

Representing experimental assumptions with a data-generating process

Students will translate a proposed experimental design into assumptions about the data it should produce, then express those assumptions in R.

Before class

Preparation on data-generating processes, variation, and simulation in R will be added here. ## In class Students will complete a simulate-before-you-analyse activity using an animal-science study. ## After class Follow-up work will prepare the simulation for repeated power calculations.
