12-03 · Consolidate interpretation and draft your decisions

Allow 60 minutes total, including project work. No new method, dataset search or unbounded assignment is required.

  1. 10 minutes: retrieve target/scale/uncertainty distinctions from the recap. Correct one ambiguity in your cress teaching-example caption or paragraph.
  2. 25 minutes: write what researchers do in your project, what they measure and which comparison you want to estimate in the existing report draft. Add your candidate model and a plan for checking its assumptions. Use the generic report prompts if helpful; they contain no case-specific analysis answer.
  3. 15 minutes: develop or revise your own results/figure if you have explained and justified the analysis. Otherwise state the analysis decision needing consultation. Identify one alternative assumption worth comparing and explain why it matters for this study, with evidence or provisional status.
  4. 10 minutes: check paths and named packages; prepare one scientific or computational consulting question.

Bring draft, code, data and your question to 25 November. Flag an incomplete section honestly within the time cap. Project presentations are on 2 December. Formal assessment details will be shared separately.
