# Class 10 consolidation — 60 minutes

## 15 minutes: revisit the two designs

The calf keeps one diet; the cow receives both rations in a randomly assigned order. Explain assignments, rows and repeated information in each case. Use the consolidation slides and recap.

## 20 minutes: use the calf change comparison

Run `after-class-student.R` from a fresh session, or read `reference/question-comparison.csv` and `reference/model-output.txt`. The code subtracts the baseline Enhanced–Control gap from the week-8 gap using marginaleffects. Explain why that is a different question from the week-8 gap alone. Why does a calf's persistent weight difference cancel from its change?

## 25 minutes: explain, sketch and plan

Write four short paragraphs:

1. Calf assignment count, repeated unit and row meaning.
2. Calf change estimate in kg with its approximate interval and a limitation concerning nearby visits.
3. Cow assignment to order, B–A estimate in kg/day with its approximate interval, period adjustment and washout assumption.
4. Why sequence and reassuring model checks cannot establish that earlier treatment effects have disappeared.

Sketch two plausible continuous curves through the five calf mean weights for Class 11. Keep them within weeks 0–8. Save your group's next project action, including any revisions to the initial plan. Bring this worksheet and the curves to Class 11.
